T-Mobile’s CTO, Neville Ray, says the rival unlimited plans from networks Verizon and AT&T are stifling the data speeds of those companies, and is likely a result of the lift that both wireless carriers were seeing due to the changes made to the unlimited plans that are now being offered to subscribers. Ray’s comments aren’t completely unfounded as it’s reported that both Verizon and AT&T saw a decrease in Mbps speeds on their networks during the second quarter, though this doesn’t necessarily mean that the cause of this decrease is the unlimited plans changes made by each carrier. It does, however, suggest that is the case.
According to Ray, Q…
Daydream VR support arrives on the Galaxy S8 and S8+, or so T-Mobile says

The latest Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ update on T-Mobile seems to be blocking Bixby remapping applications, essentially disabling any possibility to make the Bixby button do mostly whatever you want it to do. For some this won’t be an issue but for other users it could certainly pose a problem, or at the very least an annoyance if they’ve been used to using these types of apps to more or less unlock the Bixby button’s potential.
This is reportedly only an issue with T-Mobile models of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, at least for now, as there doesn’t seem to be complaints from users or developers of these types of apps in regards to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ …
T-Mobile says Android Nougat should land on the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge sometime this week as its product manager and avid Twitter user Des recently tweeted that T-Mobile has now approved the software update for both versions of the phone today, and that the software update is nearby. No exact date was highlighted, so the software could start hitting devices as early as sometime this evening, which means that users with either phone on the T-Mobile network who are waiting for the Nougat software may want to periodically check for the software update manually if they haven’t seen it come through yet.
Any users who don’t see the update come through over-the-air t…

T-Mobile wants to add a smartphone (or three) of its own in its lineup, and today we may be getting the first look at what it’ll look like.
Thanks to a source speaking with Android Authority, the first render of what’s being called the T-Mobile REVVL T1 has surfaced. It’s a mid-range handset, based on the specifications revealed to the publication, and it will apparently feature an aggressive price tag in comparison to other handsets on the market.
As far as features go, the REVVL T1 will apparently offer a 5.5-inch 1080p HD display, with a 13-megapixel camera on the back. There’s a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, too, which will feature…

Alcatel is reportedly planning to launch an all-new entry-level tablet called the Alcatel A30. The company already sells a budget smartphone by the same name, and that one’s currently available exclusively on Amazon for just $ 59.99. As for the upcoming tablet, detailed hardware specifications of the device are still officially under wraps, but a report recently published by TechnoBuffalo seems to suggest that it will ship with fairly modest hardware that should help the company price the device attractively. It’s worth noting here that Alcatel had released a budget tablet on T-Mobile last year that was priced at just $ 130, so it will be interesting to see if the upcoming device wi…
