We are in the middle of 2020 & now is the best time to be buying a new laptop. Despite the growth in smartphone popularity, when it comes to productivity, laptops are still the crux of the matter. Everyone needs a laptop, be it a serious gamer, a Netflix binge-watcher, a worker on the road, or a college student.

But in this crazy world that we live in, all of us do not have or don’t want to spend too much money on a super expensive laptop. So here’s an article for all of you, who are looking to buy a budget-friendly, or a high-end laptop this summer.

Whether you are working from home or the office, you are after a gaming laptop to unwind with or just looking for a budget laptop that can keep you connected with friends & family, this article will surely help you out in choosing the best laptop for you, according to your usage & budget. If you do get any of the laptops listed in this article, you really won’t be able to go wrong.

So these are in my opinion, the best value laptops that you can buy in summer 2020.

1) Asus Zenbook UX431FA – “Great mid-range laptop”.

Asus Zenbook UX431FA

Asus is producing a lot of nice mid-range laptops and is giving us some of the best options to choose from. This time it’s the Asus Zenbook UX431FA.

It is an elegant, sleek & stylish ultrabook from Asus. The finishing that Asus did with the metal is just unparalleled & they certainly have one of the best designs.

There are a lot of options available, but this one always stands out for me.

It comes with a 14″ HD screen (1920×1080), Intel i5 with 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD, up to 9 hours of battery life & Windows 10. Its beautiful utopia blue color & gold backlighting on the keyboard also gives a stylish & elegant look to it. The Asus Zenbook UX431FA also has a great solid design, good performance & a quite powerful audio system.

I think the few areas where it lacks in are its average battery life & dimmer display than other Zenbooks.

The Asus Zenbook UX431FA is really one the best laptops under $800 and if that’s the kind of laptop you need, I highly recommend it.

2) HP Spectre X360 13t – “Best high-end Laptop”.

HP Spectre X360 13t

If you have a decent budget & are willing to spend some money on your laptop, then in my opinion the HP Spectre X360 13t is one of the best premium laptops available out there. It is one of the best laptops you can get from HP & one of the best looking laptops in general.

HP Spectre X360 13t is the high-end version of HP specter ultrabook and comes in 2 classic colors, classic silver, and black & gold version. This laptop is one of those special ones that flip around, so you can use it in tablet mode as well.

The one we reviewed had a 13.3″ full HD touch screen (1920×1080), Intel i7 with 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB SSD, up to 8 hours of battery life & Windows 10. This laptop is just 2.87 pounds & 0.7 inches thick. So it can easily fit in your backpack without occupying much space & is easy to carry around.

This laptop is almost perfect, but still, a few things could have been done better, as it has average viewing angles & the volume button is quite stiff.

But its premium design & solid performance outperforms every competitor in this range. It has good keyboard & audio along with stylus support & fingerprint scanner and is definitely a solid competitor to the Dell XPS 13.

On my side, it’s a big YES to this laptop.

 3) MSI GF63 – “Best mid-range gaming laptop”.

MSI GF63

If you are a gamer, then one of the major problems that you must have faced is spending too much money on expensive gaming devices. But with MSI GF63, this issue has become past because MSI GF63 allows you to have a great gaming experience with one of the best gaming laptops of under $800.

First thing first, MSI GF63 is a mid-range quality gaming laptop and has a great design. It is sleek & it has thin bezels, which is nice. Plus there’s a metal cover on the lid, which is a bit of a fingerprint magnet but looks attractive. I also like the fact that the laptop is very portable & lightweight, which means you can easily carry it around anywhere you want.

MSI GF63 is a portable & powerful gaming machine with 15.6″HD screen (1920×1080) with NVIDIA GTX 1650, Intel i5 with 8 GB of RAM, 512 GB SSD, up to 7 hours of battery life & Windows 10. It’s a good looking laptop with easy RAM & storage upgrade.

To give all these features in a mid-range laptop, MSI compromises with its battery life & gives mediocre audio quality.

I’m still amazed to see how MSI is able to give such a powerful & lightweight gaming laptop at such a low price. In my opinion, you should buy this laptop without any second thought.

4) Asus Vivobook F512 – “One of the Budget Laptops”.

Asus Vivobook F512

As you all know, Asus has been producing a lot of high-quality budget laptops that cost well under $500. And there are a lot of them out there right now, available at really good prices. But the one that stood out for me is “Asus Vivobook F512”. It’s a really nice machine, and at around $500, you can’t go wrong.

It has 15.6″full HD screen (1920×1080), Intel i5 with 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB SSD, up to 5 hours of battery life & Windows 10 home.

There are quite a lot of laptops in the market around the 500 to $600 price range but few of them come with a 15.6″ full HD screen like the Asus VivoBook F512.

But to keep the prices low for this laptop, Asus compromises with few of its specifications like- it has mediocre sound quality, its display could have been more colorful.

But overall it’s a stylish, lightweight, excellent for basic tasks & has a fast Hard drive. We can say that it’s an ultimate economic & productive laptop & I would totally recommend it.
