4K tv / surround system compatibility question

I’m looking at the Samsung 4K SUHD JS8500 120hz 55″ hdmi 2.0 tv. I’m also looking at the Onkyo HT-S5800 5.1 hdmi 2.0 system. Here’s where I’m confused. The Onkyo is advertised as “hdmi 2.0 60hz 4K compatible”. Does this render the 120hz on the JS8500 useless?
