Xiaomi has beaten Samsung to become top smartphone vendor in India. According to a report published by Canalys, the total shipments of Xiaomi smartphone for the year ended Q4 2017 is close to 8.2 million. Even though the annual growth of Samsung is pegged at 17%, the company had crossed 7.3 million smartphones to occupy the second spot.
According to Canalys, the smartphone market in India has increased by 6%. While Vivo occupied the second spot, the Oppo managed to find a place in the third sport. The Lenovo is at the distant fifth position with the company failing to make a mark.
