ESRB Adding In-Game Purchases Label

Loot boxes have been one of the more heated video game controversies of late, and now the Electronic Software Rating Board (ESRB) has revealed some of what it's doing about it. For anyone unsure, the ESRB is the group the examines a game's content and then provides age-related ratings based on what it finds, such as E for everyone and M for mature. These ratings also come with descriptors, so you can see why a game got a particular rating, and there can be other notes as well, such as if the game has online interactions. Now "In-Game Purchases" will be identified on game boxes as well, to better inform parents. This label will appear on the appropriate titles on game box…
