The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are due to launch in the US in 10 days, but when they do so, they won’t have one of their headline features in tow.
Samsung tells Axios that the Bixby Voice feature will not be ready in time for the Galaxy S8’s launch on April 21. No reason for the delay was given, but Samsung did say that Bixby Voice will be added “later this spring.”
Bixby Voice is the feature that allows the user to control select Samsung apps using only their voice. Samsung heavily touted the feature when it announced the GS8 last month, but apparently it needs a bit more time in the oven before its ready for public consumption.
