MIUI 12 Features
Dark Mode 2.0
MIUI 12 brings the Dark Mode 2.0 feature for the Xiaomi smartphones. Dark Mode 2.0 will provide enhanced dark modes features such as wallpaper dimming, font-weight adjustment, and font contrast adjustment. Wallpaper dimming will increase and decrease the wallpaper brightness as per the day and night. The font size, as well as the contrast, will also be increased or decreased as per the light and dark themes on the smartphone for easy readability and usage.
Standing at the forefront of design and user experience, MIUI 12 once again ignites your imagination with its whole new set of animation, aesthetics, and privacy functions.
Super Wallpapers
Adopting a game-level engine for real-time rendering and official NASA statistics to precisely reconstruct planetary landforms, the newly introduced MIUI 12 Super Wallpaper feature takes cosmic aesthetics to the peak of realism, creating stunning visuals for your wallpaper and always-on display.
MIUI 12 offers Flare, Barbed Wire, and Mask System function to provide users comprehensive protection. The Flare function marks out sensitive app activities to the user, while the Barbed Wire function allows users to take control over their own app permissions and erase sensitive information when sharing documents. When activated, the Mask System gives rogue apps blank information to protect data for five permissions including contact lists, calendars, and call records.
There will also be new animations including weather changing displayed in the form of a time-lapse video. Additionally, app icon animations, opening/closing apps, screen rotation, and a lot of functions will see animation changes for ease of usage.
